Hanioti — The Most Popular Beach on Kassandra, Halkidiki
Hanioti is one of the most popular resorts on Halkidiki — a long sandy beach, good restaurants and lively evening atmosphere. Guide for 2026.

Hanioti is one of the most visited resorts on the Kassandra peninsula in Halkidiki — consistently popular with visitors from Serbia, North Macedonia and throughout the Balkans. It combines a long, well-organised sandy beach with a lively resort town, good restaurants, evening entertainment and a wide range of accommodation at various price points.
The Beach
Hanioti's beach is one of the longest on Kassandra — extending over 2 km of fine sand with shallow, turquoise water. Well organised with sun loungers and parasols available for hire. Water sports are well-represented: jet skis, banana boats, parasailing, pedalos and kayaks. The beach is Blue Flag certified. Water temperature in July–August reaches 25–27°C.
The Town
Hanioti town (behind the beach) is lively and commercial. The main street parallel to the sea has cafés, supermarkets, pharmacies, souvenir shops and a good selection of restaurants. The evening atmosphere is bustling — this is one of the more animated resorts on Kassandra with bars and clubs operating until the early hours. Not the quietest resort on Halkidiki, but one of the most convenient.
Restaurants and Food
There are dozens of restaurants in Hanioti covering all budgets. The seafront tavernas are convenient but expensive; better value is found one or two streets back. Several good souvlaki and gyros shops are available for cheap lunches. There is also a large supermarket for self-catering.
