June and September are the sweet spot - accommodation prices are noticeably lower than in August, crowds are smaller, and the sea is still warm. Avoiding July and early August can save you significantly.
No visa is required - but a national ID card is not enough. Entering Greece requires a biometric passport valid for at least 3 months beyond your planned departure. A Serbian biometric ID card is not valid for Schengen entry. Visa-free stays are limited to 90 days in any 180-day period.

The tourist season runs May through October. May and October are great for a quieter holiday; June and September offer excellent value for money. July and August are peak months - the sea is warmest, but prices and crowds peak too.
