Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know before you go

When is the cheapest time to vacation in Greece?

June and September are the sweet spot — accommodation prices are up to 40% lower than August, crowds are smaller, and the sea is still warm. Avoiding July and early August can save you significantly.

Do Serbian citizens need a visa for Greece?

No. Serbian citizens can enter Greece without a visa, using a valid passport or national ID card. Greece is part of the Schengen Area, but Serbians enjoy visa-free access for stays up to 90 days.

Which Greek destinations are most popular with Serbian tourists?

Halkidiki (Kassandra and Sithonia peninsulas) is by far the most popular, followed by Paralia, Pefkohori, Hanioti, and Nea Mudanya. For islands, Corfu, Rhodes, and Crete top the list. All these destinations are covered on our platform.

How much does a family vacation in Greece cost (4 people, 10 days)?

Driving your own car and booking directly from owners: €1,500–2,500 (accommodation + food + fuel + tolls). Package tours with flights: €2,500–3,500. Booking directly from owners typically saves 20–30% compared to booking platforms.

How do I drive from Serbia to Greece?

Belgrade to Halkidiki is about 700 km, roughly 7–8 hours of driving. Recommended route: Belgrade → Niš → Vranje → Preševo border crossing → North Macedonia (Skopje) → Evzoni border crossing → Thessaloniki → Halkidiki. The Bulgaria route through Sofia is slightly longer but often less congested.

How much are tolls from Serbia to Greece?

Around €25–30 one way: Serbia ~€18 (Belgrade–Preševo), North Macedonia ~€10–12, Greece ~€5 (Evzoni–Thessaloniki). Return tolls are the same. Detailed per-route prices are in our toll guide.

When is the tourist season in Greece?

The tourist season runs May through October. May and October are great for a quieter holiday; June and September offer excellent value for money. July and August are peak months — the sea is warmest, but prices and crowds peak too.

Is it better to book directly from apartment owners?

Yes — direct bookings consistently offer better prices (no platform commission of 15–20%), more flexible cancellation terms, and direct communication with the host. All owners on our site are verified, so you can book directly with confidence.
