Why Vrasna?
Vrasna is a smaller resort on the Strymon gulf, about 5 km east of Asprovalta. A quiet village with a sandy beach and family apartments, without the urban setting of larger Asprovalta. A Vrasna holiday in 2026 is for travellers who want an affordable northern Greek coast with good regional access.
The character is family-oriented and quiet. Vrasna has around 1,500 residents, a small main street with a few tavernas and a mini-market. It differs from Asprovalta in lower tourist density and the absence of nightlife.
Position: 85 km from Thessaloniki, 65 km from Kavala, 50 minutes to Halkidiki.
Beaches and the sea
The Vrasna beach is sandy, about 2 km long, with wooden jetties. The water is calm, with shallow entry. Blue Flag is regularly awarded.
