About Nea Peramos
Why Nea Peramos?
Nea Peramos is a seaside town about 17 km south-west of Kavala, on the Gulf of Kavala. Out of season it is a quiet place; in summer it becomes one of the better-known resorts of the region, with tavernas, cafés and apartments by the sea.
The main reason to come is the sandy beaches, above all Ammolofi, with natural sand dunes that are famous across northern Greece. Kavala is close enough to combine beach days with visits to the city.
Beaches and the sea
Nea Peramos beach - the beach in the town itself, next to tavernas and cafés, for swimming without driving.
Nearby beaches:
- Ammolofi (about 3 km from the centre, under 5 minutes by car) - a sandy beach about 3 km long with natural sand dunes
- Nea Iraklitsa - the neighbouring resort towards Kavala, with a sandy beach
