Waterland water park Halkidiki - slides and pools for all ages

Waterland, located on the Kassandra peninsula of Halkidiki (near Thessaloniki), is one of the largest and best-equipped water parks in northern Greece. It's a superb day out for families with children - and for adults who haven't outgrown a good water slide.

What's at Waterland

  • Over 30 water slides of varying height and intensity (from gentle flume rides to near-vertical drops)
  • Large wave pool - creates real surf-like waves every 20 minutes
  • Lazy river - relaxed circular current for families
  • Children's dedicated pool area with small slides safe for toddlers and young children
  • Adult pools and relaxation areas with sunbeds
  • Restaurant, fast food outlets, snack bars and ice cream stands throughout the park
  • Lockers and changing facilities

Prices (2026)

  • Adults: approximately €20–€25 full day
  • Children (3–12): approximately €15–€20
  • Children under 3: free
  • Family tickets available (2 adults + 2 children): approximately €60–€70

Note: prices vary by date and advance booking. Check the official Waterland website for current rates and online booking discounts.

Practical Tips

  • Arrive early - the park opens at 10am and popular slides have queues by mid-morning in peak season
  • Water shoes - the ground gets extremely hot in July–August; bring water shoes or sandals
  • Sunscreen - reapply frequently; you're wet and moving constantly, so protection is worn off faster than on the beach
  • Bring snacks - food inside the park is more expensive than outside; many families bring their own packed lunch
  • Book online in advance - usually cheaper than gate prices and avoids waiting at the ticket booth

Getting There

Waterland is located near Thessaloniki airport (12 km) and on the road towards Kassandra/Halkidiki. Most Halkidiki resorts are 20–40 minutes away by car. No direct public transport from Halkidiki resorts; car or taxi recommended.
