Why Paros?
Paros is a central Cycladic island, more authentic than Mykonos or Santorini but with the same recognisable white architecture. A Paros holiday in 2026 is for travellers who want the Cycladic experience without the premium prices of its extravagant neighbours.
The character is relaxed and family-oriented. Paros has around 13,000 permanent residents, with two main towns - Parikia (the main one, with the port) and Naoussa (fishing-luxury). It differs from Mykonos in lacking party atmosphere and from Santorini in lower tourist pressure.
Position: in the central Aegean, 165 km southeast of Athens, 3 to 4 hours by ferry from Piraeus.
