June and September are the sweet spot - accommodation prices are up to 40% lower than August, crowds are smaller, and the sea is still warm. Avoiding July and early August can save you significantly.

No visa is required - but a national ID card is not enough. Entering Greece requires a biometric passport valid for at least 3 months beyond your planned departure. A Serbian biometric ID card is not valid for Schengen entry. Visa-free stays are limited to 90 days in any 180-day period.

Halkidiki (Kassandra and Sithonia peninsulas) is by far the most popular, followed by Paralia, Pefkohori, Hanioti, and Nea Mudanya. For islands, Corfu, Rhodes, and Crete top the list. All these destinations are covered on our platform.

Driving your own car and booking directly from owners: €1,500–2,500 (accommodation + food + fuel + tolls). Package tours with flights: €2,500–3,500. Booking directly from owners typically saves 20–30% compared to booking platforms.

Belgrade to Halkidiki is about 700 km, roughly 7–8 hours of driving. Recommended route: Belgrade → Niš → Vranje → Preševo border crossing → North Macedonia (Skopje) → Evzoni border crossing → Thessaloniki → Halkidiki. The Bulgaria route through Sofia is slightly longer but often less congested.

The tourist season runs May through October. May and October are great for a quieter holiday; June and September offer excellent value for money. July and August are peak months - the sea is warmest, but prices and crowds peak too.
